Shareholders and Management

The A10 Auction House operates as a trading company owned 100% by Artmark Holding. The Auction house is run by Horia-Roman Patapievici as Chairperson and by the Board of Directors composed of Luciana Matei, Eliza Leșanu and Cezar Burlan.

Horia-Roman PATAPIEVICI

Physicist, author, scientific researcher of physics, independent researcher of the history of ideas, cultural manager.
Member of the Group for Social Dialogue and of the Writers’ Union.
Former President of the Romanian Cultural Institute (2005-2012).
Founding member of the Research Centre for the Foundations of Modern Thought (University of Bucharest)

Luciana MATEI

Psychology Graduate, Luciana was part of the House's team from it's establishment;
Passionate about human relationships, she has worked in multiple departments, experience that led her to transition the company's chain of command
She is now the House's Chief Operating Officer and member of the Board of Directors, being an excellent manager

Eliza Leșanu

Graduate in law and communication, she worked at Intact Media Goup, where she has learned that the greatest investments are in people.
Passionate about negotiation and political marketing skills, grammar, history and mostly about stained glass.
She has been working at Artmark since 2015, currently occupying the position of CSR&Brand Director and coordinating the charitable auctions of the house. She is now a member of the Board of Directors.

Ionuț Albu

In 2008 he joined the Artmark Auction House, being one of the first three members of the team, for which he developed the first online auction software in Europe (2011), revolutionizing the art market. Also, he develops the first international, tailor-made for auction houses (2015) software solution for business management (ERP).
In 2013, he founded his own start-up in the IT field, and since 2018 he has been devoting himself to the development of the first online system for participating in general meetings of shareholders - the EVOTE platform.
He is currently the Managing Partner of Art Games, a Romanian software company specialized in online auction programs, and also a member of the Artmark Board of Directors.

Cezar Burlan

Graduated the Faculty of Energetics at UPB Bucharest, the non-practicing engineer with an artist’s soul and in love with beauty re-profiled himself on the art of consultative selling in the advertising industry.
With patience, eloquence and perseverance, he taught others to embrace this field, coordinating the sales and advertising departments of some important press trusts in Romania.
In 2015 he changed the path and joined the Artmark team where he adapted the art of selling for the auction house. He is currently successfully coordinating the team of art consultants at A10 by Artmark and member of the Board of Directors.

Iulian PLEȘTIU

Art Historian with a B.A. in History from the University of Bucharest, he became Head of the Research and Cataloging Department in the first year of Artmark's establishment.
With a passion for Graphic Design and Editing he later became Head of DTP and Graphics Department.
In 2022 he joined Artmark's first subsidiary in Croatia, as Country Manager in the Zagreb office.

Ruxandra DUMITRU

She studied Art History at the University of Bucharest and International Business at the Academy of Economic Studies.
She joined the team of Artmark’s Valuation Department in 2013 and from 2017 she became Head of Romanian Classical Valuation Department.
In 2020 she organised and curated the ArtSafari exhibition “Gheorghe Petrașcu – despre farmecul realității”.
In 2022 she joined the team of Artmark’s first subsidiary in Sofia as Country Manager Bulgaria.
